Our Chairty: HAWS
The primary mission of FurSquared is to support the Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS) of Waukesha County. Since our first convention in 2014, our community has raised over $203,000 to help animals in need.

About Haws
Established in 1965, HAWS is an “open admission” shelter that assists over 6,000 animals each year. They provide a safe haven for animals regardless of age, health, or breed, and offer community programs to promote responsible pet ownership and prevent animal abuse
- HAWS welcomes more than 31,000 human visitors annually and is a lead member of the Wisconsin Federated Humane Societies.
- HAWS’ mission is Strengthening the relationship between animals and humans through adoption and education.
How to Give
There are many ways to contribute to HAWS during the convention:
- Charity Auction: Bid on unique art, collectibles, and fursuit gear. High bidders take home the prize, and HAWS takes home the money!
- Charity Poker Tournament: Test your luck and skill. Proceeds from the annual poker tournament directly benefit our furry friends.
- Charity Dance Off: Cheer for your favorite dancers! During the event, staff will roam the audience to take donations in the name of competitors.
- Sticker Statues: Look for designated “Sticker Statues” around the hotel. Place your stickers there, as these statues are auctioned off at the Charity Auction.
