Privacy Policy
1. Information We Collect
When you use our website, contact us, or interact with our services, FurSquared may request personal information that can identify or contact you, including your name, email address, mailing address, and telephone number.
We may also collect:
- Information you submit during registration so that we can process your registration, verify eligibility, issue your badge, and administer your attendance.
- Usage data generated through your interactions with our website and online services, including device information, IP address, browser type, pages accessed, visit duration, and other technical data.
2. Cookies and Analytics
Cookies and similar technologies may be used to improve your browsing experience, retain preferences, support account features, and collect information about how our website is used. Disabling cookies may limit certain website functionality.
We may analyze website usage and performance data to understand how our services are used, identify technical issues, and improve their design and functionality.
3. How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information to provide, operate, maintain, support, and improve FurSquared’s website, registration systems, events, and other services.
We may use your contact information to communicate with you about registration and attendance, service or policy changes, support requests, emergencies, lost property, and other operational matters relevant to you.
We will send marketing communications only when you have chosen to receive them. Opting out of marketing communications will not prevent us from sending necessary registration, safety, or administrative messages.
4. How We Share Personal Information
We may share personal information in the following circumstances:
- With payment processors and event venues only as needed to process payments or support event operations. Analytics services may receive limited technical information, such as your IP address and website usage data.
- When required by law or legal process, or when reasonably necessary to enforce our policies, protect legal rights or property, or safeguard the health and safety of individuals.
Payments are processed by third-party payment processors. FurSquared may receive transaction details needed to confirm and administer your purchase, but does not receive or store your full payment-card or bank-account information.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, or provide it to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. Security and Retention
We take reasonable measures to protect personal information and limit access to FurSquared personnel who need it to perform their authorized responsibilities.
Although we work to protect personal information, no website, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to administer our services and events, comply with legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements and policies.
6. Your Privacy Choices
You may ask us to provide a copy of your personal information, correct inaccurate information, or delete information we no longer need. We may verify your identity before fulfilling a request and may retain information when legally required.
7. Children’s Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children age 13 or younger, including with parental consent. A parent or legal guardian bringing a child age 13 or younger to FurSquared must register using the adult’s own information. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child age 13 or younger, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
8. Users Outside the United States
If you access our services from outside the United States, information you provide may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
9. Successors and Aggregated Information
If FurSquared’s operations are transferred to a successor, personal information reasonably necessary to continue registrations, services, and legal obligations may be included in that transfer.
We may analyze or publish aggregated statistics about registration, attendance, and website use, provided those statistics do not reasonably identify any individual.
10. Third-Party Links
Our website may link to third-party websites or services that we do not operate or control. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
11. Changes to This Policy
FurSquared may revise this Privacy Policy at any time. When this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted and identified by its most recent “Last Updated” date. Unless otherwise stated, revisions become effective when the updated policy is posted.
