Firearms & Explosives
Props resembling firearms or explosives are not allowed under any circumstances.
General Safety
Props must not pose a danger to others while being carried or holstered. Any prop that could injure someone if bumped into or mishandled is prohibited.
Projectile Props
Any prop capable of launching a projectile must be unloaded and disabled.
- Bows may be loosely strung
- No bolts or arrows may be carried unless they are clearly fake and incapable of being fired.
Sound & Volume
Costumes or props that produce sound must be kept at a reasonable volume so as not to disturb others. If asked to mute or turn off a sound producing prop, you must follow the request.
Uncertainty?
If you are unsure whether a prop is acceptable, please check with the Prop Check at the Baird Convention Center. Approved props will be tagged so you won’t be stopped later.
