Access to the convention space for Minors
To ensure the safety and well-being of minors attending the event, any areas of the convention space that are adult in nature, or are labeled as 18+, will have staffed ID checkpoints in front of a visually obscured entrance.
This includes, but is not limited to;
- Any panels rated 18+
- Adult Dealers-Den
In addition, the following policies are in place:
Guardian Consent Requirement for Minors 14 – 17 years old:
We must have the guardian’s authorization for the minor to be left unattended. We also must have the guardian’s contact info should they need to be contacted about the minor for any reason.
- If the minor is registering/picking up their badge alone, they must present a consent form that has been signed by their parent or guardian, and legally notarized.
To be considered properly complete the form must:- Be printed off from the FurSquared site. (Available HERE)
- Completed and signed by their guardian, who is over the age of 18. (Including the guardian’s contact information.)
- Have a notary stamp with a raised seal.*
- If the minor is accompanied by a parent/guardian over the age of 18 during the registration process, the guardian can sign the consent form in-person** and we can release the badge to the minor at that time.
*Finding a Notary around your area can be found here (asnnotary.org) or by searching “notary near me”. You can also check with your local public offices and libraries as they often have free or low cost notary services.
**These will be made available upon request at the registration desk during the convention.
Requirements for Minors 13 years old and under:
Any Minors 13 and under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, that is at least 18 years old, at all times while attending our convention. Security will be notified if any minors are found unaccompanied.
In addition, we have made available a special badge for to allow Minors to join in on the fun with their own badge! (see Companion Badges below)

*In order to stay within compliance with Wisconsin privacy laws, any information submitted through our registration system, must belong to the attending parent/guardian(s). Do not include information of someone 13 years old, or under, when registering online as we cannot, and will not, keep records of any information belonging to minors 13 and under. Any registration found to be made with information belonging to someone that is age 13 or younger will be deleted on site and the guardian/parent, aged 18 or older, will have to register themselves. Click HERE for step by step instructions on how to register a Minor aged 13 or younger.
Access to the convention space for Caregivers:
In an effort to make FurSquared more accessible to attendees requiring the assistance of a Caregiver, the following policy is in place:
- An Attendee may assign 1 (one) person as their caregiver for the duration of their attendance of the convention.
- The caregiver will receive a Companion Badge, tied to the attendee’s registration, which will allow the caregiver to accompany the attendee throughout all areas of the convention without needing to purchase an additional badge. (More Details on Companion Badges below.)
Note: Only 1 (one) caregiver can be assigned to any 1 (one) attendee’s registration. Should any other arrangements be required, please reach out to [email protected] for assistance.
